X2: No Relief

X2 is an arcade-style side-scrolling shoot ’em up developed by Ocean Software and published by Team17, the collaboration that also produced the Worms series. A sequel to the Amiga classic Project-X, X2 was a console exclusive with a planned North American release that never materialised. This Original release carries serial SLES-00455 and was released on 15 November 1996, covering France, the UK, and Germany. It is presented in a Multiway Jewel Two Disk case without a hologram, as a single-disc English-language release. The Multiway Jewel Two Disk format is an interesting physical variant in the PAL case range. As the sole catalogued PAL pressing, this three-country release is the definitve physical version of X2 for PAL collectors.
