X-Men: Children of the Atom

X-Men: Children of the Atom is a 1994 arcade fighting game developed by Capcom and ported to PlayStation by Probe Entertainment, published in Europe by Acclaim Entertainment. Based on the Marvel X-Men comics and timed alongside the mid-1990s animated series, the game features voice actors from the show and one-on-one combat with a roster of iconic mutant characters.

This is the sole catalogued PAL variant, carrying serial SLES-00198 and released on 27 February 1998. It is housed in a Full Jewel PAL case containing a single disc, with a hologram on the case. The release covers the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, with English as the sole language. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are included. With only one PAL variant catalogued, this broad multi-territory original pressing is the definitive European physical edition, and the relatively late 1998 PAL release date makes it a notable late arrival for a mid-1990s arcade classic.
