X-COM: Terror from the Deep

X-COM: Terror from the Deep is a turn-based strategy game developed and published by MicroProse, the second instalment in the acclaimed X-COM series. Ported to PlayStation in 1996, it shifts the alien war beneath the oceans, blending base-building and research management with tense tactical combat against a reawakening underwater alien force.

This original PAL release, dated 1 December 1996, covers the UK, France, and Germany. It comes in a standard Full Jewel PAL single-disc case with no hologram on the case, and despite being distributed across three territories, carries a notably broad language set: English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish are all supported on this single pressing. A MicroProse Orange ‘Why You Should’ Registration Card is included as loose paperwork, a distinctive branded insert characteristic of MicroProse releases of the period. No case stickers or bundled demo discs have been documented. As the only PAL variant catalogued for this title, this pressing is the definitive physical release for PAL collectors.
