WipEout

WipEout is a futuristic anti-gravity racing game developed and published by Psygnosis, originally released as a PlayStation launch title in Europe. Players race in the F3600 league across global tracks, piloting craft with distinct handling and weaponry in a high-speed, aggressive racing format.

This Platinum release, dated 1 March 1997, carries serial SCES-00010 and was distributed across the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands. It is presented in the Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case, the smaller format associated with the Platinum budget re-release line. The case carries a hologram. The disc count is one, and the release is in English only. As with other variants in this series, research notes indicate the packaging included dual manuals covering English, French, and German in one booklet, and Spanish, Italian, and Dutch in another, with a single manual in the Full PAL Case configuration. The Platinum edition represents the most accessable entry point for collectors on a budget, though the full-price Original variants remain more desirable.
