Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds is a vehicular combat third-person shooter developed by Pixelogix and published by GT Interactive Software, drawing on Jeff Wayne’s acclaimed 1978 musical adaptation and released exclusively in Europe on the PlayStation.

This is the Italian original release dated 19 November 1999, presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with a hologram on the case. The single-disc release is in English only. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are documented. Five PAL variants are catalogued for this title in total, each distributed to a different European market with its own EAN barcode. The Italian pressing is identified by its unique barcode. As a PAL-exclusive title, the Italian variant holds the same inherent interest as its fellow country-specific pressings, and it remains relatively uncommon outside the Italian secondhand market.
