Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds

Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds is a vehicular combat third-person shooter developed by Pixelogix and published by GT Interactive Software, drawing on Jeff Wayne’s celebrated 1978 musical adaptation of H.G. Wells’ novel and released exclusively in Europe for the PlayStation.

This is the German original release dated 19 November 1999, presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with a hologram on the case. The single-disc release is in English only, with no localised German text. No loose paperwork, case stickers, or bundled demo discs are documented. Five PAL variants are catalogued for this title in total, each distributed to a different European territory. This German pressing is distinguished by its unique EAN barcode. As a PAL-exclusive title never released in North America, all five country variants carry collector appeal, and the German pressing is one of the less commonly encountered examples in the secondhand market outside its home territory.
