Total NBA 98 Launch Release (UK)

Total NBA 98 is a basketball game developed by Sony Interactive Studios America and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, the company behind many of the early PlayStation sports releases.

This is the UK Original release, catalogued under serial SCES-01079 and dated 15 May 1998. It uses the Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A on the case, and includes one English language disc. As the home market edition, it is likely the version most British collectors will come across first.

The EAN barcode is 0711719728221, and this is what separates it from the French, German and multi-country editions sharing the serial. There is no loose paperwork or bundled demo recorded for this copy, so condition of the case, hologram and manual are the main things to consider when buying. It is the simplest variant of the four to source, but it still deserves a place in a complete record of the game.
