Total NBA 98 is a basketball game developed by Sony Interactive Studios America and published in Europe by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
This variant is the French Original release under serial SCES-01079, with a release date of 15 May 1998. It was sold in a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A on the case, and includes a single disc. The language is English, so the French edition has no translated text recorded.
Its EAN barcode is 0711719728320. This is the detail that distinguishes it from the UK and German single-country copies, and from the combined multi-country release that also lists France. Collectors should be careful here, as it is easy to mix the two French-linked entries when the cases sit side by side. Checking the barcode against the database avoids any confusion.
It is one of four catalogued variants of the game, and a solid choice for those building a collection of French market Sony titles.
