Total NBA 98 Launch Release (Germany)

Total NBA 98 is a basketball game developed by Sony Interactive Studios America and published in Europe by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

This is the German Original release, catalogued under serial SCES-01079 and dated 15 May 1998. It is housed in a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A on the case, and contains one disc. Although it was sold in Germany, the game itself is in English, with no German language option recorded.

The EAN barcode is 0711719728429, which sets it apart from the UK, French and multi-country copies that share the same serial. Since the case design is so close across these editions, the barcode is the most reliable way to confirm a German market copy. As one of four catalogued variants, it forms part of a small but interesting family of releases, and it is a sensible pick for collectors who want a representative German edition of a Sony sports title from the era.
