Total NBA 98 is a basketball game developed by Sony Interactive Studios America and published in Europe by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
This variant is the combined Central European Original release under serial SCES-01079, dated 15 May 1998. Rather than being tied to a single country, it covers France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands, which points to a shared print run distributed across several markets. It comes in the standard Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A on the case, and holds a single disc. The game is in English only, with no localised language options recorded.
The EAN barcode is 0711719728528, and it is the key identifier here, because the case looks much like the single-country editions. Collectors wanting to separate the multi-country copy from the French and German specific ones should check the barcode first. It is a useful entry for anyone mapping how Sony distributed its sports titles across continental Europe in 1998.
