Syndicate Wars is a tactical, isometric real-time strategy game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts, following on from the original Syndicate with a bleaker setting far in the future.
This is the French release, an Original pressing from 17 July 1997 with serial SLES-00213. It uses a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A and contains a single disc. Despite the French market focus, the disc carries five language options: English, French, Italian, Spanish and Swedish. The EAN barcode is 5030931371967, which is worth noting when checking copies against the other releases sharing this serial.
The PlayStation port is known for its new introductory cutscene, changes to some missions, and a fixed progression of unlocked items rather than the research system used on PC. Collectors tracking regional differences will want this French copy alongside the other 1997 pressings.
