Super Football Champ is an arcade-style football game developed by Taito Corporation and published by Mindscape, continuing the lineage of Taito’s Hat Trick Hero and Football Champ arcade series from 1990. The game delivers straightforward arcade football with fast gameplay suited to home console play.
This UK Original release carries serial SLES-00715 with its own dedicated EAN barcode, separate from the French pressing. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a single English-language disc. Released on 1 October 1997, it is one of two PAL variants. The UK pressing is the more readily encountered of the two on the British secondary market, and represents the natural version for UK-based collectors. As a Mindscape-published Taito title with limited wider documentation, it occupies a modestly obscure corner of the PAL library.
