Starblade Alpha

Starblade Alpha is Namco’s enhanced PlayStation port of their acclaimed 1991 arcade rail shooter, adding a textured graphics mode to the original on-rails gameplay. This original PAL pressing was released on 15 February 1996 and distributed across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.

Presented in a Multiway Jewel One Disk case with no hologram on the case, the release contains a single English-language disc. Documented loose paperwork includes the Namco 0001 Single Sided insert and a Thin Flyer. No case stickers or bundled demos were included.

As the sole PAL variant of Starblade Alpha, this is the only edition for collectors targeting the game. The Multiway case format is a minor point of distinction in a catalogue otherwise dominated by standard Full Jewel cases for titles of this type.
