Star Wars: Dark Forces is a first-person shooter developed by LucasArts and Big Bang Software, following mercenary Kyle Katarn on a mission to expose the Empire’s Dark Trooper Project. The game was well regarded for its Jedi engine and multi-floor level design. This German release carries serial SLES-00585 and was released on 1 May 1997. Presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram, the disc is in English. Research notes confirm that while the front cover states the game is in English, the manual is in German and Dutch, an unusual combination pointing to a shared packaging run between these two territories.
