Star Ocean: The Second Story

Star Ocean: The Second Story is the tri-Ace developed action RPG published in PAL territories by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, the first Star Ocean game to receive a release outside Japan and following the science fantasy narrative of Claude Kenny stranded on an undeveloped planet. This is the German language original release, dated 12th April 2000, on a single disc under serial SCES-02161 with German language support. Country grouping, case type, hologram type, and EAN barcode are all currently undocumented for this variant. The German language SKU is the rarest of the three PAL language variants in collector circles, since German JRPG localisations of the period received notably lower print runs than their French equivalents. Confirmed clean German original copies are a meaningful prize for collectors building country specific late nineties JRPG sets and represent a particularly strong target within the wider Star Ocean PAL family.
