Star Ixiom is a space combat simulator developed by Kuusou Kagaku and published by Namco, and the sequel to the 1985 Famicom game Star Luster. This is the Original PAL release, catalogued under serial SCES-01707 and dated 12 April 2000. It is a single multi-country edition covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands, so one English-language disk was sold across all five markets.
It is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram B, and contains a single disk. The EAN barcode is 0711719148722.
In the game, the player flies one of seven ships through missions such as destroying enemy fleets or defending a space station, within the United Galaxy Space Force universe that links many classic Namco games. Many of the ships and enemies echo titles like Galaga and Bosconian, which adds a pleasing layer of Namco history.
As the only catalogued variant, it is the definitive PAL copy and easy to identify by its serial and barcode.
