Speed Freaks Launch Release (France)

Speed Freaks is a weapon laden racing game developed by Funcom and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, released in North America as Speed Punks. It supports two players, or four using a multitap.

This is the original French market release, dated 15 September 1999. Although it was sold in France, the game itself is presented in English. It comes on a single disc in a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram B, a detail that helps confirm the case generation.

The serial is SCES-01763 and the EAN barcode is 0711719792222, which is the number to check when identifying a French copy, as each region of this release carries its own barcode. As the first pressing for the territory, it is the full price edition that preceded any later budget reissue, and it is the one most collectors would regard as the standard French copy.
