SimCity 2000 Launch Release (France, Germany, Spain, UK)

SimCity 2000, the iconic city-building simulation developed by Maxis and co-created by Will Wright, tasked players with designing and managing sprawling urban environments from an isometric perspective, balancing budgets, infrastructure, and the needs of a growing population. This Original release carries serial SLES-00471 and was released on 10 November 1998, covering the UK, France, Germany, and Spain. It is a single-disc Full Jewel PAL release with no hologram on the case, supporting English, French, German, and Spanish. Loose paperwork includes a Sim City Free Mobile Phone Offering Flyer, and the case carries a square pink sticker advertising the same free mobile phone promotion. This on-disc promotional item is a collector point of interest, offering a snapshot of the UK telecoms marketing landscape of the late 1990s. As the sole catalogued PAL variant, this is the definitive physical release for the title in the region.
