Samurai Shodown III Launch Release (France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands)

Samurai Shodown III is a weapon-based 2D fighting game developed by SNK, with conversion work attributed to SNK and Ukiyotei, published in PAL regions by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The game took the series in a darker, more serious direction, with fully redrawn characters and notably smooth animation for its time. This release covers Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and France, carrying serial SCES-00563 and released on 1 March 1997. Presented in a Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case with a hologram on the case, the disc is in English. One of two PAL variants catalogued, this continental European pressing is distinguished from the UK-inclusive variant by its specific territory grouping and EAN barcode.
