Ridge Racer is Namco’s influential arcade racing game, a cornerstone of the PlayStation’s European launch in 1995. This variant is the Value Series Black Label edition, released on 26 January 2001, and was distributed across Spain, Germany, France, Italy, the UK, and Netherlands.

Presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with a hologram on the case, the release contains a single English-language disc and carries the hash suffix serial denoting the Value Series pressing. No loose paperwork or case stickers are documented for this variant, and no bundled demo was included.

The Value Series Black Label was a late-era budget programme offering older titles at reduced retail prices, and this pressing of Ridge Racer represents one of the final commercial releases of the game in PAL territories. As a late budget edition of an early launch title, it offers an interesting bookend for collectors.
