Ridge Racer is the 1993 Namco arcade title that became one of the PlayStation’s defining launch games, published in PAL regions by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. This is the original pan-European pressing, released on 29 September 1995 across the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The single English-language disc sits in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, in keeping with the earliest PlayStation issues. The barcode 0711719610021 identifies this version. Loose paperwork documented inside includes the Namco 0001 Single Sided thin flyer, an early promotional insert that is often missing from second-hand copies and adds significantly to completeness for serious collectors. As the very first PAL pressing of one of the system’s launch titles, this is among the most historically significant Ridge Racer variants in the catalogue.
