Resident Evil

Resident Evil by Capcom, published in Europe by Virgin Interactive, received a dedicated German localisation under serial SLES-00228. This original pressing was distributed in Germany with German-only language content on a single disc in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case. A Virgin white German registration card is included as loose paperwork. Sixteen PAL variants are catalogued in total for Resident Evil, and the German market releases under SLES-00228 form their own distinct sub-group. The absence of a hologram on the case marks this as an early pressing, preceding the later Platinum and White Label re-releases of the same German localisation.
