RayStorm is a vertically scrolling shooter developed by Taito and published in Europe by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, originally released as a 1996 arcade title. Players control the R-Gray starship through eight stages, destroying the Secilia Federation using direct weapons and multi-lock missile targeting.
This continental European Original release carries serial SCES-00742 and was distributed across France, Italy, and the Netherlands under a combined pressing with its own EAN barcode. It comes in the Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case with a single English-language disc. Released on 15 September 1997, it is one of three PAL variants. The France, Italy, and Netherlands grouping consolidates three markets under a single pressing, and this variant is the least comonly found of the three in UK-based collections.
