RayStorm is a vertically scrolling shooter developed by Taito Corporation and published in Europe by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Players pilot the R-Gray through eight stages against the Secilia Federation, using direct fire and a lock-on missile system capable of targeting multiple enemies at once.
This German-market Original release carries serial SCES-00742 and was distributed in Germany with its own dedicated EAN barcode. It comes in the Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case with a single English-language disc. Released on 15 September 1997, it is one of three PAL variants. Germany received a dedicated pressing rather than being grouped with the broader continental release, consistent with Namco and Sony CEE’s pattern for this type of arcade shooter release in the European market.
