Rage Racer is the fifth instalment in Namco’s Ridge Racer series and the third on the PlayStation, bringing a class-based Grand Prix system, a darker visual tone, and Reiko Nagase to the franchise. This release covers the UK, France, and Germany, carrying serial SCES-00650 and released on 1 June 1997. Presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with a hologram on the case, the disc is in English. A round, black-and-gold case sticker reading “94%” is documented on this variant. One of two PAL variants catalogued, this is the primary UK-market pressing of Rage Racer and the version most likely encountered by British collectors.
