Project Overkill is a top-down isometric shoot ’em up developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Chicago and published by Konami, placing players in the role of one of four mercenaries fighting alien forces across more than fifty levels. This Original release carries serial SLES-00500 and was released on 1 November 1996, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. It is a single-disc Full Jewel PAL release in English, with no hologram on the case. As the sole catalogued PAL variant, this broad six-country pressing represents the only physical release documented for the title in the region. The Konami imprint and isometric shooter genre place this firmly in a well-populated mid-1990s PAL niche.
