Penny Racers, released as Choro Q in Japan, is a 1996 racing game developed by Tamsoft and published by Takara, featuring compact cars based on the popular Choro Q toy line racing across tarmac, icy, and dirt tracks. It was the first Choro Q game released outside Japan in over a decade. This is the only known PAL variant, carrying serial SCES-00391 and covering the UK, Finland, Sweden, and Norway as a combined pressing. The inclusion of Scandinavian territories alongside the UK is an unusual regional configuration for a PAL release. It is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, and comes on a single English-language disc. Released on 1 October 1996, this is the original PAL launch edition. No paperwork or case stickers are included.
