Peak Performance

Peak Performance is a racing game developed by Cave and published by JVC Music Europe, based on the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The game features the Pikes Peak course, with its combination of dirt and tarmac, alongside four additional tracks across urban and rural settings. Twenty-five vehicles are available, each with unique handling, and the game offers substantial depth through car customisation and colouring.

This is the sole catalogued PAL variant, a UK Original release carrying serial SLES-00727. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a single English-language disc. Released on 1 November 1997, the UK-only distribution and the relative obscurity of both developer Cave and publisher JVC in the European market mean this title appears infrequently on the secondary market. Complete copies in good condition are a rewarding find for collectors specialising in less-documented PAL racing titles.
