Parodius is a compilation published by Konami collecting the first two arcade entries in their shoot-em-up parody series, featuring bizarre enemies and offbeat humour alongside genuinely challenging scrolling shooter gameplay. This original UK pressing was released on 15 March 1996 and is the sole PAL variant of the game.
Presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, the release contains a single English-language disc. No loose paperwork or case stickers are documented for this variant, and no bundled demo was included.
As the only PAL pressing of Parodius, this UK-exclusive edition is the definitive collection target for the game. Its limited regional distribution and cult status among shoot-em-up collectors make it a rewarding if occasionally elusive addition to a complete PAL PlayStation library.
