This is the sole catalogued PAL variant, an Original release carrying serial SLES-00749 and distributed across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain under a single pressing. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A on the case, and contains a single disc supporting English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Released on 1 October 1997, the five-language support and broad territory coverage suggest a genuine attempt at wide European distribution by Sunsoft. As the only known variant and a title with minimal documentation, The Note occupies a genuinely obscure corner of the PAL library and complete copies are rarely encountered.
