NHL FaceOff ‘97 is an ice hockey game developed by Sony Interactive Studios America and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, featuring all 26 NHL teams from the 1997 season with Season mode, player trading, and team creation. This is the sole PAL variant of the game, carrying serial SCES-00392 and covering the UK, France, and Germany as a combined tri-territory release. It is presented in the Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case format with no hologram on the case, and comes on a single English-language disc. Released on 10 March 1997, this is the original and only PAL edition. The Mini Jewel Black Bordered case format distinguishes this release from more standard Full Jewel releases of the era. No paperwork or case stickers are included.
