NFL Xtreme

NFL Xtreme is an arcade-style American football game developed and published by 989 Studios for the PlayStation. It was built as an answer to NFL Blitz, with 30 licensed NFL teams and stadiums and a fast, exaggerated style of play.

This is the UK release, an Original pressing under serial SCES-01490 and dated 10 October 1998. It comes on a single disc in a Full Jewel PAL case and is English language only, which naturally suited the British market. The EAN barcode is 0711719751120, and it is the simplest way to tell this copy from the French, German, Italian and southern European editions sharing the same serial. American football had a smaller following in the UK in the late nineties, so this is a quirky title for a PAL library, and the UK edition is probably the easiest of the five to start with.
