NFL Xtreme is an arcade American football game developed and published by 989 Studios, built as a fast and loose competitor to the NFL Blitz series. It features 30 licensed NFL teams and stadiums, five-on-five matches and exaggerated tackling.

This is the German release, an Original pressing under serial SCES-01490 and dated 10 October 1998. It comes on a single disc in a Full Jewel PAL case and, despite the German market, the game is English language only. The EAN barcode is 0711719751328, which is the key identifier separating this copy from the UK, French, Italian and southern European editions that share the same serial. For collectors, the German variant is a good example of a sports title sold abroad without translation, and it makes a fitting companion to the other regional copies of the game in a PAL collection.
