NBA Live 99 is a basketball game developed by NuFX and published by EA Sports, the fifth instalment of the NBA Live series. It added Practice Mode and multi-season play with player development, and shipped with 1997-98 rosters because the 1998 NBA lockout halted player movement. Antoine Walker of the Boston Celtics is on the cover.
This is the German Original release under serial SLES-01455, dated 4 December 1998. It comes in a Full Jewel PAL case with a single disc and German language text. The EAN barcode is 5030932018076.
Loose paperwork is documented for this variant in the form of an EA Pascalstr 6 registration card, which is often missing from second hand copies. The case also carries a square, holographic sticker reading NBA Live 99 Official Product. Having both the card and the sticker present makes for a more complete example.
The German release has its own serial, separating it from the UK, French, Italian and Spanish copies. It is one of six NBA Live 99 variants catalogued on the database.
