Metal Gear Solid is a stealth action game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Japan and published by Konami. This release combines the Platinum edition of the main game with the Metal Gear Solid Special Missions disc as a single retail pack.
Released on 26 February 1999 as a Special Bundle, it is catalogued under serial SLES-01370 and covers the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. The language is English. Rather than a standard jewel case, the bundle uses a Multiway Jewel Two Disk case, and the total disc count is three. The case carries a Hologram B. The EAN barcode is 4012927020173.
The three disc arrangement and the unusual case format set this apart from the regular single game releases, and the multi-country coverage suggests one print run supplied several European markets.
Collectors will value it as the only catalogued version of this bundle, and the non-standard case makes condition checks worth doing carefully.
