Madden NFL 97 is an American football game developed by Tiburon Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, the first Madden entry on PlayStation, introducing a salary cap and featuring the newly established Baltimore Ravens. This is the sole PAL variant of the game, carrying serial SLES-00436 and distributed across the UK, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany as a combined multi-territory release. It is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, and comes on a single English-language disc. Released on 15 October 1996, this is the original and only PAL edition.
