Legend

Legend is a side-scrolling hack and slash beat ’em up developed by Toka and published by Funsoft, set in the medieval kingdom of Sellech. Players control knight warriors Kaor and Igor battling through levels to prevent the corrupt Clovis from seizing ultimate power by channelling the imprisoned soul of the despot Beldor.

This is the sole catalogued PAL variant, an Original release carrying serial SLES-00730 and distributed across the UK, France, Germany, and Italy under a single pressing. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a single English-language disc. Released on 15 December 1998, the late release date and limited publisher footprint of Funsoft in the PAL market contribute to the relative obscurity of this title. Complete copies in good condiiton are not frequently encountered and represent a rewarding find for collectors focused on lesser-known PAL beat ’em ups.
