Knockout Kings 99 Launch Release

Knockout Kings 99 is a boxing game developed by Press Start and published by Electronic Arts under the EA Sports banner. It is the European name for the title simply known as Knockout Kings elsewhere, and it was EA’s flagship boxing series before Fight Night arrived.

This is the Original release, catalogued under serial SLES-01448 and dated 20 November 1998. It comes in a Full Jewel PAL case carrying a Hologram A, with a single disc and English as the only language. The EAN barcode is 5030930017859, which is useful for confirming the pressing against your own copy. Research notes record that the cover features Evander Holyfield, a detail worth checking when comparing it with later reprints.

As the first pressing of the game, this variant is the baseline against which any later release should be judged. It is one of four PAL variants currently catalogued for the title.
