Independence Day: The Game Launch Release (UK)

Independence Day: The Game was developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Fox Interactive, turning the 1996 alien invasion film into a combat flight and shooter game on the PlayStation.

This is the UK Original release, dated 15 July 1997, and it is the baseline against which the later Core Multipack editions can be compared. It comes in a Full Jewel PAL case with a single disc, and the language options include English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish. The EAN barcode is 5030931012860.

The documented loose paperwork is a Fox Interactive Soho Square Registration Card, which ties this copy to the London-based Fox Interactive operation. Because such inserts were rarely kept, a UK Original that still includes its card is a more complete example and a more satisfying find for collectors who care about the full original package.
