Gex: Deep Cover Gecko Launch Release (UK)

Gex: Deep Cover Gecko is a 3D platformer developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive. In the UK it features Danny John-Jules as the voice of Gex, who returns to the Media Dimension to rescue Agent Xtra from Rez.

This is the UK Original release, serial SLES-01299, dated 15 April 1999. It offers English, Italian and Spanish language options on a single disc, in a Full Jewel PAL case. The EAN barcode is 5032921005890.

As the first pressing of the game in Britain, it predates the later Riccochet and Value Series Riccochet reissues, which use a hash suffixed serial. It is one of 11 PAL variants catalogued overall, and collectors wanting the earliest UK version should look for this unsuffixed serial on the case and disc.
