This is the French Original on the SLES-02081 master, released on 27 October 1999 in a Multiway Jewel Four Disk case with Hologram B on the case and a four-disc French-language set inside. As the standard French market launch pressing, this is the entry point for French collectors building a Final Fantasy PAL set and is most reliably distinguished from the Enhanced Edition not by EAN but by the absence of the bundle box and extras. The French language localisation was widely praised at the time and remains the canonical French version of the title.
