Final Fantasy VIII

Final Fantasy VIII is the 1999 Squaresoft RPG, the eighth main entry in the series. This is a later UK Platinum reissue on the SLES-02080 English-language master, dated 1 January 2005 in a Multiway Jewel Four Disk case with the PSP-era hologram on the case and a four-disc set inside. The barcode 0711719193920 is shared with the earlier Hologram B Platinum pressing, with the only physical distinction being the case sticker itself. The presence of the PSP Hologram on a PSX Platinum issue is a useful documentary marker of how Sony’s budget reprinting continued well into the PSP and PS2 era to satisfy ongoing demand for the title. For collectors, this is one of the latest legitimate factory pressings of Final Fantasy VIII PAL.
