Excalibur 2555 A.D. is an action-adventure game developed by Tempest Software and published by Telstar in Europe. Taking its cues from titles such as Tomb Raider, the game uses a third-person perspective as players journey through a reimagined ancient England in search of the legendary sword Excalibur, collecting weapons and items along the way.

This Italian Original release carries serial SLES-00693 and was distributed exclusively in Italy. It is presented in the standard Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, and contains a single disc localised in Italian. Released on 15 March 1997, it is one of three PAL variants catalogued for this title. The game was developed by Tempest Software with a Windows port handled by Fish (UK), and was published in North America by Sir-Tech. For Italian collectors, this localized pressing is the natural version to seek out, and complete copies in good condition are not abundantly common.
