Discworld II is a point-and-click adventure developed by Perfect Entertainment and published by Psygnosis. The game follows Rincewind, voiced by Eric Idle, as he attempts to coax Death out of retirement in a story drawing on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels.

This French-language Original release carries serial SLES-00794, a separate serial from the English/multilingual variants indicating genuine French localisation. It was distributed across France and the Netherlands and comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a single French-language disc. Released on 24 September 1997, it is one of four PAL variants. The included loose paperwork is a Manual Registration Card specific to Discworld 2 in green. The Netherlands appearing in both the English and French pressing territories is an interesting distribution detail, sugesting the Dutch market received both language variants.
