Descent

Descent is a first-person shooter developed by Parallax Software and published by Interplay, notable as the first FPS to offer true 3D graphics and full six-degrees-of-freedom movement inside labyrinthine mine shafts. This original PAL pressing, released on 14 May 1996, is the continental European edition covering France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Netherlands.

Presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, the release contains a single English-language disc. No loose paperwork or case stickers are documented for this variant, and no bundled demo was included.

This pressing serves the core continental European markets and forms one half of the two-variant Descent PAL set. Collectors need to source both this edition and the separate UK-Nordic pressing to complete the full PAL picture for the game.
