Descent II

Descent II is a six-degrees-of-freedom first-person shooter developed by Parallax Software and published by Interplay. Players pilot a spacecraft through underground mines, destroying reactors and fending off infected robots across a series of labyrinthine levels. This is the only PAL variant catalogued for the title, carrying serial SLES-00558 and released on 2 May 1997. The release is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, covering the UK, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway in English on a single disc. With coverage spanning both British and Scandinavian markets under one release, this pressing serves a relatively broad but geographically specific audience, and is of note to collectors documenting Interplay’s mid-1990s PAL catalogue.
