Cool Boarders 2 Launch Release (France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands)

Cool Boarders 2 is a snowboarding game developed by UEP Systems and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, adding trick competitions, shortcuts and a wider choice of riders to the formula of the first game. This variant is the continental European Original release, serial SCES-00992, dated 15 January 1998.

It was sold in the Netherlands, Germany, France and Italy, and comes in the slim Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case with a Hologram A. The release is a single disk and the game is in English only. The EAN barcode is 0711719709725.

As an Original pressing, this sits at the start of the game’s PAL history, before the Platinum reissues moved to the Full Jewel PAL case. It is one of five variants catalogued for the title, and the Mini Jewel format is a pleasing period detail for collectors who prefer first-run packaging from the early years of the PlayStation in Europe.
