Command & Conquer, Westwood Studios’ influential real-time strategy game published by Virgin Interactive, received dedicated French-language Original releases at launch. This French Original carries serial SLES-00531 and was released on 12 January 1996. It is a two-disc release in a Multiway Jewel Two Disk case without a hologram, covering France with French language content. France received its own dedicated serial at Original tier, separate from the SLES-00530 UK/Spain/Italy grouping and the SLES-00532 German edition. Among the eight PAL variants catalogued, France’s Original under SLES-00531 is the primary French first-edition release, to be followed by a French Platinum reissue under the shared SLES-00530 serial.
