Cardinal Syn is a 1998 weapons-based fighting game developed by Kronos Digital Entertainment, the studio behind Criticom and Dark Rift, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Set in a fantasy world torn apart by a prophecy-driven war, the game features eight main playable characters, ten hidden characters, and interactive 3D arenas with environmental hazards. This is the Italian original release, presented in a Full Jewel PAL case on a single disc and released on 15 June 1998. The disc carries an Italian localisation. One of five catalogued PAL variants for the title, which received separate regional serials across Europe. The game received mixed reviews on release, and its PAL variants are of specific interest to collectors building complete sets of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe published fighting games.
