Brian Lara Cricket is a cricket simulation developed and published by Codemasters and endorsed by the legendary West Indian batsman Brian Lara. A sequel to Brian Lara Cricket ‘96, the game brought an updated and improved cricket experience to the PlayStation in 1998.
This UK Original release carries serial SLES-00759 with its own distinct EAN barcode. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a standard case hologram, and contains a single English-language disc. Released on 8 December 1998, it is one of three UK PAL variants. The Original pressing is the first retail version and the most naturally sought by collectors wanting the standard release rather than a budget re-issue. It is the variant against which the later No 1 Bestseller and Value Series pressings are distinguished by their case branding and, in the case of the Bestseller edition, a different hologram type on the case.
